City tour in Yerevan:

Republic Square - Northern Avenue - Freedom Square - Opera and Ballet Theater - Cascade Complex

Discovering of  the capital begins with the most famous square of the capital - the Republic Square, located in the center of Yerevan. It is famous for its monumental architecture in the national style. In the evenings on the square you can see the beautiful laser show "Singing Fountains".

From the square to the building of the Opera House lies the only pedestrian avenue in Yerevan, called the Northern one. The wide avenue, executed in a modern manner, is full of cafes and restaurants, attracts street artists and musicians and is one of the favorite places for recreation of the residents of the capital and its guests.

From the front, the avenue is crowned by the "crown" of the Opera and Ballet Theater - the masterpiece of the famous Armenian architect Alexander Tamanyan, one of the city's main attractions.

In front of the Northern avenue there is Liberty Square, one of the most beautiful squares in Yerevan. And behind the square there is a square with many summer cafes. On the eastern side of the square there is an artificial reservoir - "Swan Lake", reminiscent of Lake Sevan.

To the right of the Opera there is a very cozy, pleasant square of the name of Komitas - an outstanding Armenian composer, whose monument does not leave any visitor indifferent.

On the left side of the Opera is another beautiful and green garden named after M. Saryan - an outstanding Armenian artist. Square is behind the scenes recognized as a meeting place for artists who are presenting their creations for public viewing and selling.

The France square with its famous monument Auguste Rodin "Jules Bastin Lepage" crosses the avenue of M. Mashtots - the creator of the Armenian writing (405)

Dinner without alcohol in one of the restaurants with national cuisine.

Return to the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast in the hotel.

Yerevan city – Gutanasar mountain – Tsaghkadzor city – Sevanavank monastery – Sevan city

On the second day our group in jeeps is moving from the capital of Armenia to the nearby three-headed extinct volcano Gutanasar, which means "plow-mountain" in Armenian. The height of this volcano is 2299 meters. Its gently sloping surface is covered with a thin meadow layer. The mountain has a very pretty view. Particularly beautiful is its frozen lava of black color.

Rounding Gutanasar from another slope, we keep heading further north, reaching the city of Tsakhkadzor, a popular ski resort. Members of the group sit down on the cable car, which offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains covered with forests.

In one of the local restaurants the group have dinner.

From Tsaghkadzor the route of our group stretches to the east, towards the Sevanavank Monastery - a medieval structure founded by monks-hermits and growing over time to the whole complex.

Overnight is organized in one of the hotels in Sevan, located on the north-western shore of Lake Sevan.

Day 3

Breakfast in the hotel.

Sevan city - Chambarak city - Berd city - Ijevan city - Yenoqavan village

Early in the morning of the third day our tourists leave the resort town of Sevan, skirting Lake Sevan - the pearl of Armenia - on the north side. We reach the city of Chambarak, founded originally by Old Believers, resettled on the outskirts of the then Russian Empire. The etymology of the name is interesting, which is connected with the Kurdish "cham" - the river, and the Armenian "barrack" - thin, narrow, i.e. "A narrow river".

From the eastern shore the road leads us to the north, towards the city of Berd, famous for its sights: the Berd fortress (10th c.), The cyclopean fortress, the churches of Nor Varaga and Horanashat (12th c.).

Having dined in Berd, our tourists leave for the city of Ijevan, which is the regional center of the Tavush region. The city is famous for its crafts - wood processing, carpet weaving. And still here they make very tasty wine!

Lunch in the city of Ijevan and wine tasting.

Admiring the landscapes of the Tavush region, we reach the Yenoqavan - a village located in the unique landscape area of Tavush (a valley and a canyon 5 km long). Here operates Yell Extreme Park. Anyone who loves height can ride a zipline.
At the entrance to the extreme park, the group dines, rests for one hour, after rest begins its extreme entertainment.

In the evening we will gather around the fire for dinner, where, in addition to good mood and entertainment, we will have a master class for cooking fish shish kebab.

An overnight stay is organized in the village.

Day 4

Breakfast in the village.

Yenokavan village - Dilijan city - Vanadzor city - Kobayr monastery - Yerevan city

Early in the morning, 4 days of the car follow the road to Dilijan city - mountain-climatic and balneological resort, located on the river Aghstev. The city is surrounded almost from all sides by the Dilijan Reserve (one of the richest in Armenia).

Behind the reserved city is our next destination - the city of Vanadzor, located in a narrow gorge in the middle of wooded mountains. This city is known for its large manufacturing past. On its territory you can find a large number of factories.

In one of the city restaurants, lunch is organized.

Our further route departs steeply to the Lori Mountains. The Lori region is famous for its architectural wealth. Many monuments of the past are represented here, among which Armenian-Georgian monuments are of special interest. The monastery of Kobayr is a medieval building of the 12th century, combining both Armenian architectural features and Georgian ones. The Loriyskie mountains are especially beautiful, among which is the monastery: bare peaks contrast with the wooded foot.

After acquaintance with the monastic complex, our group returns to the city of Yerevan.
